Creative Innovative Methodologies in Teaching and Practicing Urban Design: Building Camp as a Result of Interdisciplinary Approach, Circularity and Participation
Aleksandra Djukic

The highlight of the first year was the conference in Paris from the 8th of September until the 10th of September in Paris. (First Station). The activities of the WG 4 were presented in the morning session on the 10th of September, 2025, with 5 presentations: WG 4 Leaders' presentations Innovation
through creative and circular technologies: Gerald Leindecker for Niina Karvinen, Renee
Wansdronk: Emporium—Zero emission building concept—AR/VR/XR AI avatar tool, Aleksandra
Stupar: Belgrade urban oases—Shaping the integrative nodes for environmental and social
sustainability, Eleni Meletiadou: Reclaimed Spaces: Empowering Migrant Women and Youth through
Temporary Public Installations, and by Songül Aral: "Integration of Sustainable Technical Basic Craft
Knowledge: Weaving and Knitting Applications and Prototypes."
The first year also had an adjustment in the structure and direction of WG 4, compared to the initial
proposal of the action. The new direction is centered around innovative, creative, and circular
technologies with the objective of more circular and green buildings and cities. This pluralism can
also be obtained from drawing solutions in urban design and architecture developed in non-Western
societies—what could be called 'slow technologies'—and also by looking at traditional local work of
craft and art and the (re)use of traditional material and techniques. This resulted in a new structure
with 4 subgroups.
